Setup Git with Existing Python Project in PyCharm

Create a local python project.
Add files to the project.
You decide that you want to use a VCS.

Menu – > VCS -> Import into VCS – > GIT -> Create GIT Repository.
Right click on Project -> Git -> Commit directory.

Go to GitLab / GitHub / Other and create remote project.

Return to PyCharm.

Menu->VCS->Git->Repository->Remotes

Add the remote repository to PyCharm’s VCS using the url/link provided by the remote repository.

Menu->VCS->Git->Push.
